Yellowstone is the first and one of the most beautiful National Parks in America rich in resources, alive with volcanic activity, and rich in the heritage of the tribal culture of the plains. On this adventure we will spend time with the Northern Cheyenne and experience their art and culture. We’ll ride on horses through the Battle of Little Big Horn understanding the routes taken by the Lakota and Cheyenne in their historic confrontation with General Custer and his army. We will spend time with the Crow, learning their history, traditions and legends, traveling into Yellowstone to understand the places held sacred by many of the semi nomadic people who inhabited the plains. We will camp in teepees and listen to the elder’s stories around the campfire just as mankind has done for thousands of years. And we will return with a deep understanding and respect of these unique cultures.
