Sun - Fri: 8AM - 9PM

Are you an active person yearning to leave stress and deadlines behind to find peace and tranquility in one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in America?  Then this Big Sur getaway is perfect for you!  You will find a deep sense of relaxation and develop lasting friendships with fun and like hearted people as you explore the redwood forests, waterfalls, and rugged beaches on this active adventure in Big Sur.  You will marvel at the changing landscape from the cool ocean breezes atop cliffs high above the crashing waves, to the mountains cloaked in giant redwood forests standing tall among rivers and waterfalls.

Meditating over the ocean at Big Sur

Imagine gazing out over the ocean in quiet contemplation as you meditate on the setting sun sinking below the horizon. Your body relaxes into perfect sync with the rhythm of the waves crashing into the rocky cliffs below. Stillness creeps across your mind as your senses are filled with the sounds of the ocean and distant birds preparing for the night. With each inhale you take in the clean, crisp ocean air, and with each exhale you let go of your stress and sink deeper into a soul cleansing meditative state. Your heart fills with joy as nature envelops you with peace.

Morning find you walking in the quiet redwood forest along a path that feels mysterious but at the same time familiar to your heart. The sound of the ocean has given way to the gentle breeze blowing through the trees and the water flowing down through rocks and boulders. Your mind is at peace as you breath in the sweet and damp air from the trees as your heart fills with gratitude recognizing each breath to be a gift from the giant redwoods. A smile creeps across your face as you begin to notice all the activity of the birds and creatures of the forest preparing for their day, accepting you into their world without giving it another thought. You feel humbled as you begin to recognize that you too are a part of nature, you belong here, this is your home and has been all along…and now you’re back.

Escape with us on this quiet Big Sur Getaway to the redwood forests, cliff lined beaches and amazing waterfalls and streams that run like arteries through Big Sur. Join Red Diamond Yoga Adventures as we immerse ourselves in nature staying at Big Sur Lodge on this long weekend getaway.

Kevin Montgomery

Kevin Montgomery is one of our guides, yoga instructors, curator of adventures and owner of Red Diamond Yoga Adventures

When we retreat, we offer ourselves the opportunity to press the pause button on life for a time and give ourselves some much needed selfcare.  It’s hard to think of anything more relaxing and grounding than spending a few days in nature, practicing yoga and meditation with a group of fun and interesting people.

This adventure combines all of that with the stunning landscape and quirky history on one of California’s most famous coastlines, Big Sur.

I truly enjoy leading retreats, teaching yoga, and finding community with new people in new and always interesting places.  I love to see the transformation that takes place between our opening dinners and our closing campfire, and the lasting memories that are created in between.

I am looking forward to sharing this adventure with you!
