Join us September 25th-28th 2026 for a rejuvenating four-day escape into Bishop Creek Canyon and the surrounding Eastern Sierras. Where mountain peace, transformative movement, and spectacular landscapes come together in a region known for its dramatic granite peaks, ancient forests, volcanic wonders, and pure, soul-stirring beauty. Marvel at the stunning fall colors as we hike through golden aspen groves along creeks lined in shades of orange and red.
This retreat blends outdoor adventure, relaxation, and moments of deep calm through yoga, meditation, hiking, hot springs, and cultural exploration. Perfect if you’re an active yogi looking for an immersive getaway.
Experience Autumn In The Majestic Sierras

Lakes of Bishop Creek Canyon
Just minutes outside the charming town of Bishop, the canyon feels like stepping into another world—one where time slows, stress melts, and nature takes center stage. Fall foliage in the canyon combines vibrant yellow aspen groves carving into the green pine forests with stunning red and orange hues lining the creek as it makes its way through the canyon.
On a trail straight out of a National Geographic feature, you’ll begin at sapphire-blue Lake Sabrina and climb into the alpine world of pines, granite, and impossibly clear lakes. Views of 13,000-ft peaks—including Mt. Darwin and Mt. Powell—follow you the entire way. You’ll relax and enjoy lunch at Blue Lake, time to relax and take it all in.
This is an unforgettable Sierra classic.
Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest
Step into another world as you wander the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest—a breathtaking 5-mile loop through groves of the oldest living trees on Earth. These wind-carved Bristlecones, some up to 5,000 years old, twist skyward like living sculptures shaped by millennia. The trail offers gently rolling terrain, sweeping views across the Great Basin, and fascinating interpretive signs that reveal the forest’s history and science. With a visitor center to explore and landscapes that feel both sacred and surreal, this unforgettable hike is a journey through deep time—quiet, powerful, and unlike anywhere else on the planet.

Crowley Lake Columns
Embark on a 5-mile round-trip adventure to the Crowley Lake Columns, a jaw-dropping geological wonder that feels like stepping into nature’s own cathedral. Formed 760,000 years ago by volcanic activity, hydrothermal convection, and mineral cementation, these towering stone pillars rise in dramatic arches and cylindrical “columns,” some resembling ancient temples, others like petrified dinosaur spines. With sweeping lake views and surreal sculptural formations at every turn, this hike delivers one of the most unique and awe-inspiring experiences in the entire Eastern Sierras.
Fascinating Journey Through Owens Valley

When we’re not out exploring stunning trails, you’ll spend your afternoons discovering the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of the Owens Valley. Wander through Bodie State Historic Park, California’s most famous gold-mining ghost town, where time stands perfectly still. Step into the Laws Railroad Museum and stroll through the Old West—50 authentically preserved buildings and rail artifacts that bring Bishop’s frontier past to life.
Immerse yourself in Indigenous history at the Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center, where traditional artistry, beadwork, and handcrafted treasures reflect a deep connection to the land.
And after a day well spent, melt into pure bliss at one of the region’s natural hot springs, soaking tired muscles beneath a Sierra sunset. This is Bishop at its finest—authentic, captivating, and full of unforgettable surprises.

Kevin Montgomery

When we retreat, we offer ourselves the opportunity to press the pause button on life for a time and give ourselves some much needed selfcare. It’s hard to think of anything more relaxing and grounding than spending a few days in nature, practicing yoga and meditation with a group of fun and interesting people.
This adventure combines all of that with the astounding beauty of the Sierra Mountains in autumn! We will be hiking in mountains, canyons and pristine lakes in a region few consider visiting until they have actually been there! Unlike the more famous valley on the other side of the peaks, you’ll find peace and solitude in this magnificent place.
I truly enjoy leading retreats, teaching yoga, and finding community with new people in new and always interesting places. I love to see the transformation that takes place between our opening dinners and our closing campfire, and the lasting memories that are created in between.
I look forward to sharing this adventure with you!
